Iray MH25 thermal
A Game-Changer in Thermal Imaging
In the realm of thermal imaging, the Iray MH25 thermal handheld device stands out as a remarkable tool for an unbeatable price. With its lightweight design, impressive performance, and budget friendly cost the MH25 is leading the pack in the handheld thermal optics world.Exceptional Image Quality
One of the most notable features of the Iray MH25 is its stunning image quality. Equipped with a high-resolution 640 thermal sensor, the device captures crisp and detailed thermal images, allowing users to identify different types of game at an impressive range. Identifying a coyote vs a raccoon does take a little practice. However being able to identify a raccoon vs a coyote at 400+ yards on a pitch black night with “a little practice” is pretty damn awesome!Versatile Applications
The MH25 is packed with features. There is 4 different color pallets to choose from at a simple click of a button, internal recording (on v2), Picture in Picture, an impressive digital zoom, compass, and many others I’m not going to get into here. The bottom line is there is not many more things you could ask for out of a device that fits in the palm of your hand.User-Friendly Interface
Iray has prioritized user experience in the design of the MH25. The intuitive interface allows for seamless navigation, making it easy for newcomers to operate once you become familiar with the single button operation. There is a quick shortcut menu available with a quick tap of the button that allows to change color pallet, brightness, turn on or off an attachable laser range finder, and NUC. The main menu accessed by holding the button for 3 seconds has a wide array of options and setting to tailor the user experience to your own liking.Multifaceted Design
The iRay MH25 really shines once you figure out how you’re going to mount it. When I am hunting coyotes I wear my MH25 on a 3D printed dovetail mount, which in turn connects to my g24 helmet mount over my left eye. When I’m walking in and out of my hunting spot in the dark I carry it handheld and stop every few paces to scan the area. This allows me to avoid spooking game on my way to my hunting spot. It’s amazing how close you can get when you can see them, but they can’t see you.Enhanced Connectivity
In today’s digital age, connectivity is crucial. The Iray MH25 offers built-in Wi-Fi capabilities, enabling users to connect the device to smartphones and tablets. The V2 of the MH25 also has built in recording capability, which is a key feature missed on the V1.Conclusion
The Iray MH25 thermal handheld is a fantastic tool to add to your kit. Its exceptional image quality, versatility, user-friendly interface, durability, and connectivity make it a top choice for anyone in need of reliable thermal imaging. As technology continues to evolve, the iRay is poised to lead the way in innovation and performance, making it an indispensable asset in various fields. If you’re looking to elevate your thermal imaging capabilities, the iRay MH25 is definitely worth considering. You will not be disappointed as the bang for your buck is well spent with iRay’s MH25.Posted on by Vince G.

Outdoor Edge Razor Pro
Outdoor Edge Razor Pro
]The Outdoor Edge Razor Pro is a replaceable blade hunting knife. In the box comes the knife itself, six replaceable blades, and a carrying case to affix to your belt or bag. Over the past 6 years I have been using the outdoor edge for my game processing needs. Whitetail deer, turkey, duck, and hogs are my primary targets.
The Swap
The blades are the highlight of this knife. They are razor sharp and last an impressive length of time. The ability to field dress your quarry, quickly discard your soiled blade, then replace it in a matter of seconds; before moving onto skinning and/or meat processing is very convenient. I find that it provides a small piece of mind knowing you are not contaminating meat with the same blade used for the dirtier jobs. Quick blade changes also save time ensuring you have a razor sharp blade in seconds if you do happen to dull a blade. A bonus is the OD Edge Razor Pro includes a second blade with a rounded end. I find very nice for “unzipping” large game during field dressing. The Edge
As mentioned above the OD Edge Razor Pro comes with 6 replaceable blades. They are 3.5” with a drop point curve to them. In order to change blades you simply press the small button on the side, and the blade can exchanged for a new one. The blades come individually packaged so they are kept clean and protected while out hunting. If you use all six blades, don’t worry it is relatively inexpensive to buy “refill packs” a 24 pack of blades costs $28.13 at PlanCSupply.com. As mentioned above the blades do hold an edge for a very long time, and can be sterilized. One final thing to note about the blades themselves is that there are several different blade shapes available that will fit into the OD Edge Razor. Some of the different styles include filet type, gut hook, drop point, and straight edge.Final Thoughts
Overall I highly recommend the Outdoor Edge Razor Pro. I do still carry a fixed blade for general purpose while hunting or hiking, but as soon as my quarry hits the ground, I’ll continue to reach for the Outdoor Edge Razor. Image Below: Author Vincent Gutierrez and RugerPosted on by Vince G.
